Master in UI/UX Design – Second Year: An Immersive ExperienceThe second year of the Master in UI/UX Design offered by ILAS is reserved for students who have already completed the first-year Graphic Design course, having taken the UI/UX Design module. This advanced path is designed to provide students with a practical and immersive experience, simulating a real work environment where they will be involved in complex projects, working in teams to develop advanced interfaces for web and mobile applications.
A Practical and Collaborative Experience: Students will use advanced task management tools like Asana and Trello, planning and monitoring each phase of the project, from initial research and analysis to development and real user testing. Each group will be responsible for creating and documenting a complete design system, ensuring the consistency and scalability of the final product. Cutting-edge technologies like design tokens and tools for lightweight animations such as Lottie will be explored, essential for enriching the user experience in both web and mobile contexts.

High-Value Professional Certification: At the end of the program, students will obtain a European-recognized qualification, consisting of an EQF5 level professional certification, issued by the Public Administration and legally valid throughout the European Union. This qualification grants students the title of Expert Technician in Computer Graphics, representing a significant recognition of their educational journey and acquired skills.
Optional Adobe Certification: An Extra Option: Interested students will also have the opportunity to certify their software skills by taking the Adobe Certified Professional in Graphic Design & Illustration Using Adobe Illustrator exam at ILAS, at a discounted price of 70,00 €. However, it is important to emphasize that this certification, although issued directly by Adobe, is exclusively related to software usage skills, whereas the EQF5 professional qualification has a much broader legal value, certifying full mastery in the field of graphic design.
A Unique and Exclusive Opportunity: Enrollment in this session of the master is limited to just 14 spots in a closed-class format, and lessons will be held in the modern ILAS Academy IT rooms, equipped with the latest Apple iMac Silicon technology to ensure students have the best technological environment.

Pre-enrollments for the master, including the related scholarship, will close on October 30, 2024, and the cost for ILAS graduates will be 250,00 € per month thanks to a merit-based scholarship, which reduces the cost from 360 €. The total scholarship value amounts to 1,210,00 €, for a total annual cost of 2,750,00 € instead of 3,960,00 €. Scholarships are limited and are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.ILAS graduates will benefit from a merit-based scholarship, granted as an unconditional discount, reducing the monthly master’s fee from 360,00 € to 250,00 €. Prices are VAT-exempt, as the course is authorized by the Campania Region.

Fabio Staiano - Instructor of the Master in UI/UX Design
Fabio Staiano, born in 1990, is a designer, certified Adobe instructor, and one of the Figma Community Leaders in Italy, an official recognition awarded to him directly by Figma for his contribution to the growth and dissemination of the tool in Italy. His passion for design emerged at 18, leading him to graduate with honors in New Technologies of Art from the Academy of Fine Arts of Naples, standing out for his ability to merge art and innovation.
Fabio began his career working with Capri Watch, managing the brand’s communication and digital platforms, enhancing his expertise in visual content creation and digital marketing. He later joined the Geko creative agency, where he further honed his skills in digital design, contributing to projects for prominent brands.
His professional journey has been enriched by important certifications, such as those of Adobe Expert in Dreamweaver and Photoshop, and the Google Analytics certification, attesting to his mastery of essential tools for graphic design and digital performance management. These qualifications have established him as a recognized expert in the design and web industry.
Since 2016, Fabio has dedicated himself to teaching, sharing his knowledge with students in Graphic and Web Design. Since 2020, he has been teaching at ILAS, in the Graphic and Graphic Informatics courses and masters, where he has trained numerous students, combining theory and practice in an engaging and up-to-date manner.
Previously, Fabio worked in the Pier Program at the Apple Developer Academy in Naples, where he focused on frontend design and development, contributing to the education of young talent in the tech field. This experience allowed him to work closely with ambitious students, guiding them in creating high-quality applications and prototypes with a particular focus on user experience.
In addition to his academic role, Fabio continues to work as a freelance designer, offering his expertise to startups and companies for digital interface design and development projects. He is appreciated for his ability to integrate aesthetics and functionality, providing tailored solutions with an ever-innovative vision.
Fabio also wrote a treatise titled Designing and Prototyping Interfaces with Figma, a reference work for those who wish to master this tool. In his book, he explores a wide range of techniques, from the fundamentals of design with Figma to advanced features such as auto layout and the creation of interactive components. This text has become an essential guide for designers of all levels, enabling them to create interactive and refined prototypes.
As an Italian Figma Community Leader, Fabio is a reference point for the community of designers who use Figma in Italy, contributing to the dissemination of best practices and the creation of a support network for growth among professionals in the field.
