Tell us what you have studied or done so far and what you would like to do. You will get a straight opinion on which course fits — including, when that is the case, that ILAS is not the right place for you.
The academy is in the centre of Naples, a few minutes from the port and from Napoli Centrale station.

Office hours — the secretariat answers during Italian working hours, Central European Time. For a video call, write first and we will agree a time that works with your time zone.
You do not need to come to Naples to enrol. The whole process can be done from where you are, and you arrive in the city only when the course starts.
An email saying what you have done and what you want to do. Attach a portfolio if you have one — it is not required.
A video call with the academy: which course fits, what the year looks like, what it costs, and an honest word about the language.
The enrolment form is filled in online and the contract is signed digitally. You receive a copy and the payment schedule.
We send you what you need for the paperwork, and we point you towards the neighbourhoods where students usually find a room.
Visas and permits. If you are coming from outside the European Union you will need a study visa, which is issued by the Italian consulate in your country. ILAS can provide the enrolment documents the consulate asks for, but the application itself is yours to make — start it early, because it takes time.
It is the first thing to be clear about. If your Italian is not yet fluent, say so when you write: we would rather tell you in advance that you would struggle than have you move to another country and find out in October.
